What is COMPES?
The Coalition of Minority Professional Engineering Societies (COMPES) was formed in 2000 as an initiative between the NSBE, SHPE, and SWE Detroit sections. The goal of this partnership is to strengthen and build each other up to better reach each individual society's goals.

Changing lives in Detroit by inspiring and motivating young Hispanic students to achieve educational excellence in STEM fields through mentoring and community presence; as well as enhancing career opportunities for Hispanics by providing a strong professional network.
